Home-ownership is not for the faint of heart. I haven't even closed on my new home yet and it is already giving me irregular heart palpitations. For those of you that have yet to explore the process of buying a home lets just say buyer beware that once you start writing checks it never ends. The good news is that the most random things bring me great joy these days. Who would ever have thought that a stainless steel fridge with exterior ice dispenser and pur water filter could make this 20-something smile ear to ear? (note: the gf will be the first to tell you that the new refrigerator almost brought me to tears, it just made me so happy!)
It is a blessing to be able to buy a home and to share it with somebody that I love, but man I'm exhausted just thinking about my schedule for the next few weeks. I've got my paint swatches ready, gas in the lawn mower and hopefully the cable guy is on his way over because its college football season…I can't wait to move in!
I'm starting to blog more over the next few weeks…I've learned the art of short succinct blogging rather than long paragraphs about my life, because seriously who really cares about the details?
